This Movie Feels Like A Hug

When I need peace, I hit play.

Hey, my friend,

Last Friday, I closed my laptop at 7 pm after a long week and just sat down on the edge of my bed.

I wasn’t sad exactly, but just tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix. My mind felt weighed down, and my heart needed a rest.

So, I grabbed some cream and onion chips and curled up under a blanket.

Then I put on Cars, yes, the animated movie about racing cars.

I’ve watched that movie more times than I can remember. Each time, it feels like a reset button for my mood.

There is something special about that quiet little town called Radiator Springs.

Lightning McQueen arrives there full of energy, arrogance, and confidence, but soon learns about the importance of loved ones and humility.

He slows down, meets new friends, and discovers there is more to life than just winning races.

That story always reminds me of what I forget when life gets busy.

It reminds me to slow down, enjoy the small things, and appreciate the people who care about me for who I am, not for what I do.

Cars is not a deep or flashy movie, but it feels warm and safe. It takes me back to simpler days and helps me find a little peace.

We all have something like that, no, my friend?

A movie, a song, or a place that helps us feel a bit better when the world feels too loud.

For me, that thing is Cars. Maybe you have your own comfort too.

And, I hope you find time for it this weekend.

That is it for today.

If you want to share something or have a prayer request, please let me know by replying to this email.

And, as always, keep smiling and showing kindness to yourself and others around you.

See you tomorrow, my friend.

Take care,
