The Man Who Gave His Last ₱19
A story from Cebu that reminds us what real giving looks like.
Hey, my friend,
Today’s story is from Cebu, Philippines, which has touched many hearts.
A man there wanted to help people who were hurt by the recent big earthquake.
Hence, he came to a group of volunteers who were helping people affected by the earthquake.
He was wearing an old yellow t-shirt and carrying a sack.
All he had was nineteen pesos, which is about thirty-four cents, but he still wanted to give it to help those in need.
The volunteers were only taking donations through bank transfers, so at first, they were not sure what to do.
But they could see how sincere he was, and they decided to accept his gift.
And, before leaving, he asked if they would still be there on Monday.
He said he wanted to come back and bring some T-shirts to donate to.
People who heard his story online said that his nineteen pesos were worth more than any big donation.
They said it showed what true generosity means.
my friend, what he did tells us that kindness is not about how much we have but about how much we care.
And, since today is the start of a new week, maybe this is a good time to think about that.
We all have something to share, like a kind word, a smile, or a simple act of help.
All of it may seem small to you at first, but it can turn someone’s day from bad to good.
And seeing someone smile because of what you did will make you feel good, too.
So, let’s try to carry that same spirit of helping others through the week ahead and see how much good it can bring to the people around us and also to us.
Wishing you a wonderful day and a cup overflowing with all the blessings so you can give to others in need.
That is it for today, and see you tomorrow, my friend.
Take care,
Prasad Mairale
