Some Words Stay With Us

The ones that never leave you.

Hey, my friend.

Have you ever had someone say something to you, and even years later, it still lingers in your mind?

Like…
“You don’t always have to be strong.”
Or “I’m proud of you, even if you don’t see why yet.”
Or even just, “You made my day.”

We rarely realize it in the moment, but these little conversations… they stay with us.

Not because they were perfectly said. But because they were real.

I remember one time, this was back in my last organization, I was super overwhelmed, trying to do everything right.

And a colleague just came up to me and quietly said, “Chill, Prasad, you’re allowed to rest. It doesn’t mean you’re giving up.”

I don’t think they even remember saying it. But it’s something I’ve come back to so many times.

And now, I try to remind myself:
If someone else’s words had that much impact on me, maybe mine can have that effect on someone else, too.

So today, I’m passing that energy forward to you:
You’re doing better than you think.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
And even if nobody says it out loud, you’re appreciated, my friend.

Actionable Step:

Text someone a kind thought today. No overthinking. Just something real and warm.

Who knows, you might say something that turns their bad day into a good one, and it sticks with them for years.
