Planting the Seed of Grace
The first step in a week of slowing down, softening, and starting fresh.
Hey, my friend,
Mondays often bring us a mix of energy and pressure.
There is so much waiting for our attention that it is easy to feel like we should already be moving faster, or getting everything right on the first try.
That is exactly why I chose grace as the word to guide us this week.
What’s grace exactly?
Well, grace is about giving space for the fact that life is imperfect and people are too, including ourselves.
It is about saying, “I may not do everything flawlessly today, and that is still enough.”
Imagine how different the week would feel if you approached your to-do list, your relationships, and even your own thoughts with that perspective.
You might miss a deadline or forget something on your grocery list, or someone might speak to you in a way that feels rushed or impatient.
Those things will happen, but because of grace, you’ll respond to those moments differently.
Instead of piling on more pressure or reacting sharply, you will step back and say, “There is a bigger picture here, and I do not need to carry frustration forward.”
My friend, I would love for you to make this personal.
Write the word grace on a sticky note and place it somewhere you will see it throughout the day.
Let it sit near your desk, your coffee mug, or even as the wallpaper on your phone.
Each time you notice it, ask yourself, “Where can I bring grace into this moment?”
Sometimes the answer will be about how you treat others, and sometimes it will be about how you treat yourself.
This week, we will explore this word together in different ways.
Today is simply about planting the seed.
And, by Friday, I hope you will be able to look back and notice where grace shaped your choices, softened your week, and maybe even made room for more peace than you expected.
So let’s start right now. What is one area of your life today that could use a little more grace?
For me, the place where I’m practicing grace is with this newsletter.
I sometimes worry about making it grow faster, reach more people, or be perfect, but now I’m learning to focus on showing up with heart and trust that real growth will happen at its own time.
So, my friend, where in your life today could you use more grace? Think about it and hold on to that thought as you move through your Monday.
And, if you’re comfortable, let me know about it by replying to this email.
Wishing you a week filled with kindness and grace, my friend.
That is it for today, and see you tomorrow.
Take care,
Prasad Mairale
