Looking For Hope?

Maybe it is already inside you.

Hey, my friend,

You remember how the world felt uncertain and still in 2020.

Well, one of our readers from India was feeling the same.

Her name is Shubha, and she found herself waking up each morning with a quiet ache she couldn’t name.

Her job had been paused, and her thoughts often wandered to questions she couldn’t answer.

She kept hoping something would shift.

A sign or some kind of light would appear to guide her through that strange period. But day after day, the silence stayed.

One afternoon, she noticed a post in a local community group. A family nearby had fallen sick and needed help with groceries.

No one had responded yet.

She didn’t feel especially strong or hopeful, but something inside her moved hence she offered to help.

She packed a few essentials, left them at their door, and added a note that said, “Get well soon, I’m always there for you.”

That night, she received a message from them. It was simple, but it reached her deeply:

“You reminded us that we’re not alone.”

It was a moment she hadn’t expected, and yet, it felt like something inside her lit up. Not in a big way, but just a soft glow that hadn’t been there the day before.

After that, she began noticing small chances to show up. She called an old friend and left flowers for her neighbor.

She also started writing again, not to be read, but just to feel grounded. And, slowly, things inside her began to change.

You see, she had spent so long waiting for something or someone to bring her hope.

But she had been carrying that hope in her actions all along.

Maybe you’ve been waiting, too, my friend.

Waiting for peace, or joy, or some sign that things will be okay.

Maybe today is the day you realize the light you’re searching for isn’t out there, but it’s already in you, waiting to be noticed and used.

So, give it a chance and let it shine for yourself and others.

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day, my friend.

Take care,
Prasad Mairale
