Kind Words For a Busy Mind

A gentle way to quiet negative thoughts.

Hey, my friend,

Some days, your brain might say things like, “I’m not good at anything,” or “Everything is going wrong.”

These thoughts can feel heavy and hard to carry at times.

But you should remember that not every thought coming to your mind is true, and you don’t have to believe everything your mind tells you.

Our minds are like radios, always playing something in the background. But just because a thought shows up doesn’t mean it’s helpful or kind.

Hence, one of the best things you can do is learn to notice those thoughts without letting them control your day.

A gentle way to handle negative thinking is to talk to yourself the way you would talk to someone you love. If your best friend said, “I’m a failure,” you wouldn’t agree.

You’d remind them of all the good they’ve done and how hard they try. You can do the same for yourself.

Try this the next time you feel stuck in a negative spiral. Pause and take a slow, deep breath.

Then say something kind to yourself, like, “I’m having a hard time, but I’ll get through this,” or “It’s okay to make mistakes. I’m still learning.”

You don’t have to be perfect, my friend.

You just have to be gentle with yourself. A little kindness toward your mind can go a long way in helping you feel calm, strong, and ready for whatever comes next.

So, will you be kind to your mind?

Let me know by replying to this email, and if there’s anything else or a prayer request, please feel free to share.

See you tomorrow.
