If Today Feels Off, Read This

A simple way to stop worrying about what comes next

Hey, my friend,

I want to begin by saying I am sorry for not sending the issue on Thursday and Friday.

I was sick, and at the same time, a few personal things needed my attention.

I kept telling myself I would send it soon, but my body and mind clearly needed rest first.

I truly appreciate you being patient with me and still opening this today.

Over the past few days, I noticed how quickly a rough feeling can turn into a scary story in the head.

You wake up not feeling like yourself, and before the day even starts, your mind begins to guess what that must mean.

Soon, one bad feeling turns into worry about everything ahead, even though nothing has actually changed yet.

And, it is really common to happen on Mondays.

But we can deal with that feeling using a simple affirmation:

“My feelings today are not a forecast of my future.”

My friend, how you feel right now matters, but it does not get to decide what your life will look like by evening, tomorrow, or next month.

One heavy feeling does not cancel out all the good that is still possible for you.

So if today is feeling uncomfortable or overwhelming, try holding onto this simple affirmation.

You are allowed to take this day as it comes without jumping ahead in your mind.

And, you do not need to figure everything out or label what this feeling means for your future.

For now, it is enough to get through today with honesty and care.

I hope you’ll keep that in mind.
