A Basket of Kindness

Hey, my friend.

Here’s a little story for you:

In a quiet Houston neighbourhood, a retired couple turned an ordinary morning into a moment of magic.

Mario (77) and Diana De Los Santos (73) lovingly crafted Easter baskets filled with bunny-shaped eggs, candy, and stickers, not for their grandchildren, but for neighborhood schoolchildren waiting at the bus stop.

Their unexpected act of kindness lit up the children’s faces. But the joy didn’t stop there.

The next day, neighbor Lidia Barcenas Rodriguez and her kids surprised the couple in return, with handmade gift baskets and a heartfelt thank-you card.

You see, what started as a small gesture became the beginning of a beautiful connection between neighbors who had barely known each other before.

It’s a reminder that sometimes, all it takes to spread some smiles is a small gesture and a bit of kindness, my friend.
